Equipments

The mechanical testing facilities of the SIMM laboratory are common to the Insitute of Materials of Paris Center to provide characterization facilities for solids and liquids. This platform is equipped with 8 rheometers, a capillary viscometer and two dynamic mechanical analyzers (DMA), four tensile testers and several prototypes unique to the laboratory.

The diversity of our equipment enables us to characterize a wide range of materials in soft matter ranging from viscoelastic fluids to very stiff polymer glasses and including polymer gels, yield stress fluids, colloidal supsensions and pastes, soft adhesives, elastomers etc..
