International Summer School on soft matter and soft materials

Cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, a postponement is being considered

Thanks to the support of the Gi-Core International Laboratory of the University of Hokkaido, the ESPCI and the CNRS, SIMM lab organizes an exceptional International Summer School on soft matter and soft materials.

The curriculum covers chemistry, mechanics, physics with a focus on soft solids, a subject that has developed a lot in recent years. The idea is to give everyone the basic interdisciplinary concepts and to show through examples the diversity of the subject and the different possible approaches. We have been able to attract an outstanding group of lecturers in one place, some of whom rarely come to Europe.

The target audience are doctoral students, post-doctoral students and young researchers. As the number of places is limited to 75, registration will be done in two stages with an application with a brief description of the research topic by the end of February.
